Kennedy Agyapong Shakes Gomoa Afransi

Mr Kennedy Ohene Akomprekoh Agyapong, Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central in the Central Region, has donated GH₡1000 and 300 bags of cement to Gomoa Afransi, for the construction of concrete pavement at the social centre.

The gesture delighted the chiefs and people who were at the centre to celebrate the annual Akwambo festival.

According to Mr Agyapong, he was perturbed at the dust people were hailing at the centre, adding that in the 21st century people should not continue to gather at such unpleasant places.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Mr Robert Kutin, Regional Chairman of the party, Mr Kwamena Duncan Regional Secretary and other top executives also attended the festival.

Mr Agyapong appealed to the people of Gomoa, especially parents to consider the future of their children’s education, lack of quality health care and other social problems and vote massively for Nana Akufo- Addo and NPP in 2016 for better life.

He said the electorate in Gomoa Central and Gomoa West should not allow the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to deceive them with gifts to woo their votes.

Mr Agyapong said President John Dramani Mahama has nothing better to offer them due to massive corruption.

The MP said the government has collapsed all social interventions created by NPP government under President John Agyekum Kufuor and the situation has created economic hardship for the masses.

He appealed to the people of Gomoa not let the NDC use the progressively free community Senior High Schools (SHSs) to deceive them to vote for the party.

Mr Agyapong said government under Nana Akufo –Addo would implement the free SHS to the latter, adding that NDC made many advertisements against the SHS policy in 2012 indicating that it was not possible.

He said NPP has the capacity to turn the economy round if Ghanaians vote for Nana Akufo- Addo.
