Akufo-Addo Never Superintended Over Looting Of Public Lands!

Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea has dismissed assertions by members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government that the 2016 Flagbearer of NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo superintended over the fraudulent or unethical annexing of state land to cronies.

According to him, they are mere allegations put out by the ruling party simply to taint the image of NPP's Presidential Candidate since they (NDC) have ran out of malicious stock.

Setting the records straight at a cocktail party with the media to wrap up the year 2015, the NPP’s Communications Director stated that ministers of state do not have authority to hand out public lands.

He again reminded the NDC government that the NPP’s Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo was not a minister to superintend over the sharing of the foreign affairs lands as he left Cabinet in the middle of 2007.

…the government is trying to find something against our flagbearer and then the last one they found is that as a minister for foreign affairs, he superintended over the sharing of Foreign Affairs lands; it is actually in the statement of the government”.

Ministers of State do not have a mandate to share public lands; it is not done and so it’s false but even more seriously, our flagbearer was not a minister, he left cabinet in the middle of 2007 and so he couldn’t have been part of any plan; even if there was any such plan to share lands,” he stated.

Nana Akomea further noted that NDC Communicators are in the hinterlands deceiving townfolks that Ghana is bearing the brunt of a global economic downturn as these are the signs of the Biblical End Times; and even should the NPP come to power, their living condition will not change for the better but remain the same.

“But our record in government from 2001 to 2007 is far better on all fields than what the current government is doing. We gave them the greatest resource [oil]; it was Kufuor’s government that discovered the oil, otherwise, I don’t know what they would have done”.

So what we are going to present to the nation is new leadership which is going to build on the solid legacy of the Kufuor government and the new leader and the next President of Ghana is Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as his Vice President,” he assured.
