FSD To Deal With Illegal Loggers

Manager of the Forest Services Division (FSD) of the Forestry Commission, Nana Poku Bosompim, has called on personnel of the division to deal with illegal chainsaw operations, farming and mining in restricted or reserved forests.

He said there was the need to protect the forest and its resources, which according to him had created employment and contributed enormously to national development.

Nana Bosompim, made the call after he was adjudged the 2015 Best District Manager of the Forestry Commission, at the end-of-year get-together at Nkawie in the Atwima Nwabiagya District.

A citation, which accompanied Nana Bosompim’s award indicated that his loyalty, hard work and dedication to the community had brought great honour to staff and members of the Forestry Commission.

The Atwima Nwabiagya District Chief Executive, Nana Asare Bedia, commended Nana Bosompim and his staff for working hard to uplift the image of the district.
