An ex-convict, Anthony Ayenme, was on Friday remanded by an Accra Circuit Court for practicing as a lawyer for the past one year, without any license or legal training.
Anthony Ayenme was arrested on Wednesday January 6, after being spotted in court carrying out his duties as a ‘lawyer’.
The suspect was once arrested and jailed for three years for impersonating as a police officer. He however did not back down on his desire to make a living out of deception.
Luck run out for him when the same investigator who handled his case three years ago, spotted him at the court this time in lawyers’ robe.
Mr. Ayenme, who pleaded not guilty to a charge of impersonation, was scheduled to be married to his pregnant girlfriend this weekend when he was arrested.
