Photos: Armed Policemen Swarm Media House To Protect EC Boss

Her supervisory role in the 2016 election makes her the most important person in the country; perhaps after the president, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

Thus, her job as the Electoral Commissioner could be classified as dangerous, so therefore she must be protected by the state before, during and after this year's polls.

That must have explained why heavily-armed police personnel stormed Accra-based JOY FM when she showed up for a scheduled interview on the station's Newsfile programme hosted by Samson Lardy Ayenini.

Roads leading to the station's premises were cordoned off by the policemen some in plain clothes to prevent any unfortunate happenings in the wake of recent agitations for a new voters register.

Access to any of Multimedia's offices, either the television or radio station, was heavily restricted.

According to reports, staff of the station were asked to provide some form of identification before they were allowed entry into their own premises.

Below are pictures of the police's presence on the Faanofa street, Kokomlemle as the EC boss, Charlotte Osei was being grilled in the station's studios.
