Brong-Ahafo Clubs Withdraw From GHALCA

Clubs in the Brong Ahafo region have withdrawn from the Ghana League Clubs Association. Ghanasportonline.com can reveal.

The latest development comes at the back of a recent comment made by GHALCA chairman Alhaji Raji who was alleged to have leveled Aduana Stars as a “Village” Club.

Raji is alleged to have influenced referee Issaka Afful into throwing the GHALCA G-6 final on Sunday in favour of Asante Kotoko after allegedly revealing his desire to have the trophy go to Kumasi instead of Dormaa.

The GHALCA boss after the supposed comment has been lambasted by several football enthusiasts including the PRO of Aduana Stars who has already revealed his outfit’s decision to withdraw from the Association.

Reports gathered by Ghanasportsonline.com however indicate that Clubs in the Brong Ahafo region have jumped to the defense of their colleagues by withdrawing as members of the Association.

Further investigations made by your authoritative Sports portal indicate that lawyer Ntow Fianko who is a native of the region is preparing to serve GHALCA with a notice on the Clubs latest decision.

Report however indicates that the Clubs will only rescind their decision should the GHALCA Chairman show remorse and apologize.

Aduana Stars lost the inaugural GHALCA G6 competition to Asante Kotoko after suffering a painful 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Porcupine Warriors in the finals played at the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi on Sunday.
