Dont Create War Ahead Of Election 2016 - Outgoing Army Commander Warns Politicians

The outgoing Chief of Defence Staff, Vice Admiral Mathew Quashie has warned politicians to desist from any occurrences that will disturb the 2016 elections.

He warned political leaders to help maintain peace before, during and after the election or face the wrath of the security.

"If within their own party they can do that how about if it is another party. They should learn to control themselves. They should learn to jaw-jaw instead of war-war," he said.

Vice Admiral Mathew Quashie said this when handing over the staff of office to Air Vice Marshal Michael Sampson-Oje during a ceremony at Burma Camp in Accra.

He however called on the public to support the security agencies in keeping the peace of the country in this election year.
