T. B Joshua Donates To Four Institutions

The founder and leader of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T. B Joshua, has presented 1,200 mini-bags of rice to three institutions in Accra and Akuapem area in the Eastern Region.

The rice is valued at GH¢120,000.

The beneficiary institutions, each receiving three hundred bags, were the Demonstration School for the Deaf, the Senior High Technical School for the Deaf, both at Mampong Akuapem; the School for the Blind at Akropong-Akuapem, all in the Eastern Region, and the Dzorwulu Special School in Accra.

In addition, the schools will receive two television sets each with the exception of the School for the Blind which will receive a set of musical instruments.

Presenting the items, on behalf of Prophet Joshua to the beneficiaries, Mr Samuel Sackey, an Emmanuel TV Partner, said Prophet Joshua, decided to present the items to the schools during the Christmas festivities last year, but learnt that the schools were on vacation.

For that reason, he said, Prophet Joshua had to wait for the schools to reopen so that the items would be presented to them.

Mr Sackey said Prophet Joshua had said that 2016 was a year of reward and, therefore, the SCOAN had to be a blessing to the beneficiary institutions.

He commended the heads and the managements of these institutions for their dedication towards the development of the children, saying, “It is not easy handling such children.”

Beneficiaries react

The Headmaster of the Demonstration School for the Deaf, Mr Basty Solomon Kwashie, receiving the items on behalf of the school, expressed gratitude to Prophet Joshua and Emmanuel TV partners for the gesture, saying that it had come at the right time when the school was facing challenges of feeding the children.

The Headmaster of the Senior High Technical School for the Blind, Mr Joseph Sam, receiving the items for the school, thanked the donors for the gesture which, he said, would go a long way to help address the challenges facing the school in terms of feeding the students.

He appealed to the church to assist the school to re-locate to the dormitory site with the provision of classrooms and administration blocks.

The Assistant Headmaster of the school, Mr Stanley Samanhyia, also appealed to parents not to neglect their children who were impaired but rather bring them to be trained to develop their talents in order to be useful citizens in future.

The Headmistress of the School for the Blind, Madam Mahela Narh, receiving the items on behalf of the school, expressed her profound gratitude to Prophet Joshua for remembering the school.

She advised the students to reciprocate the gesture by studying hard to come out as responsible people.

The Headmistress of the Dzorwulu Special School, Ms Veronica Sackey, also expressed her gratitude to Prophet Joshua for the donation.

“I am so grateful to Prophet Joshua and Emmanuel TV partners who read the Bible and do what they preach; they have been doing marvelous things and this is one of such things,” she added.
