Atsu Reveals Reason To Join Malaga

Newly-signed Malaga winger Christian Atsu has revealed the reason behind his decision to join the Spanish Club.
 
The 24-year-old signed a six-month loan deal with the La Liga side which would see him stay at the Club until the end of the season.

The former FC Porto man joined Malaga in an attempt to secure playing time having failed to break into Chelsea’s first team.

The player was expected to join fellow La Liga Club Levante who failed to reach an agreement with his parent Club (Chelsea).

Atsu who was officially unveiled by Malaga on Tuesday has revealed his decision to join the Los Boquerones.

“I believe I had Clubs interested in me and I believe Malaga is a big and fantastic Club, “ he said during his unveiling

They have great fans, I have been here before and saw the support from the fans when I was in Porto and I think I will be fit in and be happy here, that is why I chose Malaga.

The former FC Porto man could be making his debut for the Club on Saturday when they come up against Eiber in a League match.
