Majority Of Ghanaians Believe In NDC And Mahama's Leadership

Deputy National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Mahdi Muhammed Gibrill says his party is not perturbed by the caliber of personalities contesting President John Dramani Mahama in the 2016 general election.

According to him, so long as the party steers ahead with its developmental projects, the one touch agenda of President Mahama and his NDC government is guaranteed in the November 7, 2016 polls.

His comment is on the backdrop of the argument raised by some political pundits that the election of Ivor Greenstreet as the Flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) is likely to push the 2016 general election to a run-off, because he is connected to the grassroot and also likely to win sympathy votes from the disabled groups.

It was based on this assertion that the NDC Deputy National Organizer on Okay Fm’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show indicated that Greenstreet’s Flagbearership position will not affect the fortunes of President Mahama and the NDC in the 2016 election.

“We are not afraid of him and besides he is not new in the political arena as he was the former General Secretary of the party, and with that position he could not affect the NDC in any way, and he cannot change the one touch agenda of the NDC as a Flagbearer,” he assured.

His conviction of the one touch victory is based on his believe that majority of Ghanaians will vote depending on the infrastructural development under President Mahama; thus Ghanaians believe in NDC and the leadership of the President.

“Majority of Ghanaians will depend on the good job of NDC to give us the mandate again in the November 7, 2016 general election. Majority of Ghanaians believe in NDC and in the leadership of President John Mahama,” he asserted.
