'I Don't Want To Be A Source Of Irritation & Distraction' . . . - Kweku Baako

Kweku Baako Jnr. has congratulated the newly-elected Presidential candidate for the Convention People's Party (CPP) Ivor Greenstreet.

The Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, praised Mr. Greenstreet for the massive victory over his contenders during the party's national delegates' congress on Saturday.

He however expressed worry over divisions in the Convention People's Party and prayed the new leadership will galvanize the party systems.

Refraining from making further comments about his concerns regarding the administration of the CPP, Kweku Baako told host Kwami Sefa Kayi whiles contributing to discussions on PeaceFM's 'Kokrokoo' show that as part of his decision not to become a "source of irritation and distraction" to the party, he will "no longer do things that can divert the focus of the party".

According to him, his decision is to make sure "they can concentrate on what they think best to fit the party in terms of strategy and vision, and mission and the things they outlined. People like us and especially me, I believe I lost the debate and also lost the vote in terms of what the party should do in the circumstances in which it finds itself especially within the 4th Republican democratic system.

I have taken very conscious decision that I will no longer do things that can divert the focus of the party and their majority in terms of their wisdom to decide that this party is ready to compete in the Presidential race. And that they can make an impact, in fact, some even think they can win.
