Vote For Prez Mahama Again For High Utility Bills & Petrol Prices - Hon. Kokofu

Hon. Henry Kokofu, Member of Parliament for Bantama, has chastised President John Dramani Mahama for promising Ghanaians of a better economy in his second term.

President John Dramani Mahama has assured the Ghanaian population that he will make a positive impact in their pockets after he's given a second term in office.

He further noted that his first four years of administration was for improving social infrastructure in the country.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Hon. Kokofu argued that the President's comments during the inauguration of a Community Day Senior High School in Eastern Region on Thursday were very "insulting" to the face of Ghanaians.

He questioned the assurance given by President John Mahama, explaining that he couldn't solve the economic crises within his four-year term and so, what's the guarantee that Ghana will be better if he is given another chance to lead?

To him, should Ghanaians vote for him on November 7, 2016; Ghana will be worse off.

“What kind of insult is that? You want us to now vote for you before you come and put money in the pockets of Ghanaians…You told us in 2014 that the economy will turn around. Has the economy turned around? We should vote for you again to continue the IMF conditionalities. We should vote for you again for you to increase water and electricity bills, and petrol prices resulting in people being laid-off at their workplaces,” he said.
