According to him, the police must – “calmly interrogate him [suspect] without any torturing to mention his masters. I will plead with the police to treat him kindly to get information out of him.”

The Police on Thursday arrested a man suspected to be the leader of persons who murdered Abuakwa North MP Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu at his residence.

Two others have been named by the prime suspect for alleged involvement in the dishonorable incident.

The suspect was arrested in an operation led by the Regional Police Commander, COP Dr. George Akuffo Danpare at Thursday dawn.

Speaking to the issue on NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie', Sir John as affectionately called in politics also noted that, the police must be cautious with the kind of information they feed the media with.

“Those who sent him [the suspect] are listening to information in the media. So the police must do their work independently. They [Police] have done well in arresting one person. We must commend them,” he said.
