Spokesperson for Lawyer Philip Addison, one of the parliamentary aspirants of the disputed NPP primary in the Klottey Korle Constituency in the Greater Accra Region has assured their unflinching support for whoever becomes the eventual winner.

There are mixed feelings in the Klottey Korle Constituency in the Greater Accra Region of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) regarding the re-run of the party’s parliamentary primary.

This follows a final decision taken by the party for a re-run of the disputed primary in the constituency on February 27, ahead of the 2016 election in November.

In the constituency, there has been misunderstanding about whether or not a re-run is to take place.

While some delegates believe that there should be a re-run of the primary that was held in August last year, others think otherwise.

Additionally, some members of the party within the constituency believe that a decision by the court directing that there should be a re-run.

However, others think that has been misinterpreted, causing the steering committee of the party to order a re-run for peace to prevail in the area.

Reacting to the decision of the party to for a re-run, Mr. Norman Yemetey Tetteh, spokesperson for Philip Addison averred the decision of the Steering Committee is in the right direction to forestall turbulence in the constituency.

He was of the firm believe that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates of the Klottey Korle Constituency will speak on February 27, 2016; assuring their absolute support for whoever wins eventually.

“The Constituency will speak on February 27, 2016 and whoever the constituency elects, trust me, we are prepared to follow that person to the general elections. We are all members of one family called NPP,” he assured on Okay Fm's 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show.

He subsequently appealed to the delegates to consider a parliamentary candidate who can press home the needs of the people of Klottey Korle.

He added that even though all the three parliamentary aspirants deserve the candidature for Klottey Korle, he believes Lawyer Philip Addison is ahead of the other contestants.
