Interim Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink says that his side are �still in the race� to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals after their 2-1 defeat to PSG in the last-16 first leg.�

Edinson Cavani scored the winning goal for the French champions in the 78th minute to claim a first leg victory for Laurent Blanc�s side.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic put the home side ahead in the first half when his free kick deflected off Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel and past goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Mikel quickly redeemed himself when the midfielder came up with a rare goal to claim a vital away goal for the Blues, but substitute Cavani scored late on to claim a first leg win for PSG.

The tie is now well poised for the second leg with PSG taking a 2-1 lead to Stamford Bridge, and interim Chelsea manager Hiddink believes his team can be �relatively happy� with the result.

Speaking after the match, Hiddink said:��The result is negative but on the other hand an�away goal is important. It hurt a bit because the�team was playing decently against a team with capacity to play. But we are still in the race.

�We were not lethal enough at times but otherwise we can be relatively happy.

�We didn�t moan a lot about the absence of players and the rest got the confidence and did what they were asked.

�Over two legs, it is important you have the away goal. If we can do it at Stamford Bridge then a defeat doesn�t count so much.�
