Mahama Presents State Of Nation Address On Feb. 25

President John Dramani Mahama will present his last State of the Nation Address in his first four-year term to Parliament on Thursday, February 25, 2016.

This was announced in Parliament today [Friday] by the Majority Leader, Alban Bagbin.

But the President will on January 7, 2017, deliver his last sessional address to parliament to end the tenure of the legislature.

“…He is expected to deliver a message on the state of the nation on Thursday 25th February, 2016 in accordance of article 67 of the constitution,” the Majority added.


He further stated that the Minister of Finance, Seth Terkper, has also been summoned before the House to apprise them on the operations of some savings and loans and microfinance companies operating in the country.

Alban Bagbin also indicated that the Minister of Water Resources Works and Housing, is also expected in the House next week, to brief them on the water situation in several parts of the country especially Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Winneba and Tamale.
