A member of the National Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Amoako Tuffour, has stated that not all the recent accidents can be tagged as natural occurrences since such unexpected happenings take place only when elections are getting closer.

According to him, some of such occurrences are used by some politicians as a means of winning elections.

Speaking in an interview with Okay FM, he said the upcoming elections from his point of view have been divided into two parts; those who want to win the elections through God’s given grace and the other side which want to win by consulting all forms of deities for ‘devilish spirits’ which demands of them the slaughtering of animals and human blood which is causing the rampant road accidents.

“Some utterances made by men of God must sometimes be taken in good faith, because they receive visions whiles spending most of their time sitting at the feet of God,” he noted in an interview with host of 'Ade Akye Abia' show Kwame Nkrumah 'Tekesie'.

He asked Ghanaians to get much closer to God through prayers and fasting purposely for the upcoming elections for Him to intervene by giving us a president who can be in charge of the nation.

“All I want to tell Ghanaians is they have to be very vigilant on how they go about their daily activities both in words and action to prevent being used as scape goats and also for Ghana to be crowned winner come 7th November.”
