NPP Communicator Dumps Party

A popular member of the communications team of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Tamale, Seidu Fiter has switched loyalty to the rival National Democratic Congress.

Mr. Fiter, also a polling station executive, cited general mistrust, broad insensitivity and disrespect for divergent views in the NPP as reasons for his decision.

“I’ve been working for the NPP for so many years and started voting in the year 2000, not only as a voter, but when it comes to election time I don’t’ sit in my constituency, I work hard.

“Thank you is an appreciation, you do something for me and I tell you thank you, it means I really appreciate it. When Tamale was volatile we were the few guys on radio defending the party and we suffered brutalities within those periods, but nobody stepped a foot in my house; they will never check on you because they think it’s a tradition and you can’t leave. If your party cannot protect you better stay away from such a party and look for people who will appreciate you.”

The former communicator added that he got attracted to the NDC because of the diligence of the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Hon Inusah Fuseini who is pursuing developmental projects for his constituents.

“The fact is that Hon. Inusah Fuseini is humble, respectful and respects divergent views of his people and he is ‘littering’ the Tamale constituency with developmental projects,” he stated.
