Very Sad To Accuse 1st Lady of Building A Warehouse At Flagstaff House - Dr. Apaak

Presidential staffer, Dr. Clement Apaak has tagged the Minority Spokesperson on Legal and Constitutional Affairs, Joe Osei Owusu as a ‘disgrace’ for accusing the First Lady, Lordina Mahama of building a privately funded warehouse on the premises of the Flagstaff House for a private initiative.

Hon. Joe Osei Owusu was reported to have said this during a parliamentary debate on President John Mahama’s 2016 State of the Nation Address.

But Dr. Apaak has denied strongly that the First Lady, Lordina Mahama, is operating a warehouse constructed at the seat of government – and said it is ‘sad’ for an MP to make such an allegation.

“What the MP accused is a total lie. There is no truth in that. Indeed it is very sad and very unfortunate that a member of parliament will make such an outrageous lie in none other place than the floor of parliament,” he said in an interview on NEAT FM’s 'Ghana Montie' programme.

He explained that – the said warehouse is actually a storehouse for the use of the Office of the President and constructed by the State.
