Arrest And Prosecute Nana Addo If . . . Anthony Karbo Dares

Deputy Director of Communications of the NPP, Anthony Karbo has dared the Mahama led administration and the Inspector General of Police (IGP), John Kofi Kudalor to arrest the flagbearer of the NPP Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over allegations that he caused the judgment debt in the sale of the controversial drillship.

His response was due to an accusation leveled against him few days ago by the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia that he is hugely involved in the drillship budget debt.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it is a deliberate attempt by the NDC ahead of the crucial 7th November elections to dent the image of Akufo-Addo.

However, the NPP leadership at a press conference organized by the party noted that Justice Yaw Appau who was the judgment debt commissioner was simply doing the bidding of the NDC to secure his appointment as a Supreme Court judge.

He added that “when the saga came up Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo indicated to the commission his preparedness to appear to give evidence that would lead to unravel the truth of the matter, but Justice Appau clearly and blatantly ignored his request, went ahead and indicted him, giving the NDC the energy to accuse and defile him.”

“We are challenging the government because if you claim somebody has caused financial lass to the state, you must retrieve the money for the victim to be punished according to the constitution of the land,” he indicated in an interview with JOY FM news.

Certainly, “we are demanding from government and the IGP to institute an action to arrest and prosecute Nana Akufo-Addo, if they have the evidence to show his guilty of the charge leveled against him.”
