Godwin Attram to retire at the end of the season

Former Black Stars attacker, Godwin Attram has revealed to the public his intention to call time off from football at the end of the season.

The 35-year old ex-PSV Eindhoven striker who currently plies his trade for relegated Accra Great Olympics explained that he has so far contributed his quota to football and the time is due for him to pave way for the younger generation.

The former Al Shabab striker echoed that he now wants to give the needed attention to his established football academy which serves as his Social Security but he will wish to help Olympics return to the domestic top-flight before making his departure from football.

“I will end my football career after the 2015/2016 season because I have done my part and I have to pave way for others to also continue but I want to advise  all Ghanaians to eschew the habit of forcing players to retire abruptly since it is not done in Europe’’. He revealed to Cape-Coast based ATL Fm.

Olympics is hoping to qualify back to the Ghana Premier League after their demotion at the end of the 2014/15 season.
