Facebook Bans Justice for Adam Johnson Campaign Page

Adam Johnson's sister has backed an online campaign urging fans to change their Facebook profile pictures to a photo of the disgraced footballer - days after the internet giant pulled a support page.

Faye Johnson, who accompanied her older brother to court, wants fans to show support for the player, who faces jail for sexually touching and grooming a 15-year-old girl.

Her post stated: 'Change your profile picture to support Adam Johnson's appeal. Facebook removed our group but we will not stop publicising our support #TeamAJ'.

On Monday, Facebook took down the Adam Johnson Appeal Fight page after complaints from members of the public. However a page under the same name was live on the site today.
