Lawyer for J.B Dankwah’s suspected killer has made another request for his client to undergo a psychiatrist examination.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North in the Eastern Region was murdered at his residence, Shiashie in Accra on the 9th of February, 2016.

Magistrate for the case has again refused the same request Asiedu’s Lawyer, Augustine Obour made two weeks ago saying he is still not convinced that Daniel Asiedu is not of sound mind after his few interactions with him.

However, lawyer for the suspected murderer said his client is mentally challenged and needs to visit the psychiatrist.

According to him, he believes results on his clients mental check-up status would definitely help set the ball rolling on the case whether positive or negative.

The police with respect to this case has given a firm commitment to the court that Daniel Asiedu would now be given fair treatment like any other person as he still remains in the custody of BNI until 6th April when the case is sent to the High court for trial.
