Sasem Amarto Community of the Komenda Traditional Area emerged the gala champions of a special soccer competition to climax the week-long celebration of the annual �Nneyi� Festival of the Chiefs and people of the Area.
They spanked their Anomako Zongo Community counterparts 4-0 in the finals to lift the championship Cup.
Ten communities took part in the competition which was sponsored by Dr Joseph S. Annan, Deputy Minister of Education.
The personal Secretary of Dr Annan, who is also the Member of Parliament for the Area, Mr Charles Entsuah, on behalf of the Minister presented a set of jerseys each to the participating clubs.
He congratulated the winners and the other communities for their sportsmanship and good behaviour and asked them to keep it up.
