A Founding Member of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has laughed off claims that President John Mahama made his younger brother, Ibrahim Mahama, rich.

In an interview with GH One TV on Monday, Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe said Ibrahim Mahama “made his wealth under Kufuour”.

He was reacting to claims that the President’s brother had been awarded several contracts by the Mahama administration that had made him rich.

“People shouldn’t push me to say certain things. As I speak with you, I don’t know of a single project that has been handed Ibrahim by the Mahama administration,” he said.

In the wide-ranging interview, Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe also said that the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, does not have a message for voters ahead of the November elections.

“We have a tattered front and we don’t have a message. As a political party if you don’t have a message and you have a fragmented front then you become desperate, so I think that party is desperate...I have known Nana Addo for 50 years and he has no message", he stated.
