Sack Avram Grant Now Nyaho Tamakloe

Outspoken former chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has called for the sack of Black Stars coach, Avram Grant, for his penchant for staying outside the country.

Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe said the coach’s conduct was at variance with the terms of the contract he signed with the GFA.

The 61-year-old Israeli trainer has spent more time outside the country since he was employed and has often served as a pundit for Sky TV when in the United Kingdom.

Nyaho-Tamakloe, who is also a board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, said Grant’s actions amounted to disloyalty and disrespect to Ghanaians.

“If I was the Minister of Sports, I will fire that man. He was employed to work in a particular place and for three months you are out of that place, he should be fired.

“I don’t think he is a special man...Grant is not prepared to work and the FA is afraid of him. I don’t know why,” Nyaho bemoaned on Nhyira FM, a Kumasi-based radio station last Tuesday.

The former Chelsea manager incurred the displeasure of the FA recently after staying in the United Kingdom for three months.
