Contrary to reports by various blogs that Ghanaian dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr popularly known as Shatta Wale is set to speak at the Oxford Africa Conference 2016 scheduled to hold at the Oxford Union on May 21 & May 22, we can confirm the Chop Kiss hitmaker will ONLY perform at the ‘After Party’ of the event as officially announced by the organizers of the event.

Yesterday, April 3, 2016, after the false reports surfaced, various arguments began on social media with many fans comparing Sarkodie’s opportunity to speak at the Havard University to Shatta Wale’s supposed opportunity speak at the Oxford Africa Conference 2016.

It was therefore, right to only state the facts and avoid any form of comparison.

The Oxford Africa Conference is a leading interdisciplinary conference on Africa delivered by a team of Oxford students.

The Conference brings together heads of state, policymakers, business leaders, academics, artists, students, and professional to critically expand the discourse on Africa.
