Two women sustained injuries when they were hit by a bus on, Thursday, at the Tema Station in Central Accra .

The victims, a middle-aged woman and young woman, who was selling iced water were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

Mr Jephthah Bartels, an eye witness, told the Ghana News Agency that the incident happened when the mate on the bus, with  registration number GN 7941-13 moved the vehicle to join the queue for loading.

He said the mate appeared not to have noticed that the two were standing right in front of the bus.

“The old woman was buying water from the lady and I’m sure they also did not realise that the car was moving so it hit them, ” he explained.

Mr Muda Sowah, a supervisor at the Teshie Bus Terminal, said both the driver and  his mate would face the Disciplinary Committee for possible sanctions.

He said the incident was unfortunate and warned drivers and their mates against flouting rules and regulations governing the Station.
