I�ve Repented � JB Danquah�s Killer Declares [Video]

Daniel Asiedu, the suspected murderer of the late New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament, for the Abuakwa North Constituency, Joseph Boakye Danquah, says he has repented from his evil ways and has turned a new leaf.

The self-professed remorseful suspect, said this after his appearance in court on Tuesday, where the Magistrate Court in Accra ordered his transfer from the custody of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), to police custody. Speaking in the vehicle that was conveying him to the police cells after the court order, Daniel Asiedu indicated that he has changed from his old ways.

“I’ve changed my life, no more bad,” he said. The suspect, who is facing charges of murder was arraigned after he was arrested and allegedly confessed to stabbing the late MP in his residence which led to his death. Despite his confessions, there are suggestions there might be accomplices who aided him.


But the teenager says he entered the MP’s house to steal but not to kill. According to him, he had to stab the MP who held him tight during a struggle. How suspect killed JB Danquah The charge sheet reads that, Daniel Asiedu went to the residence of JB Danquah at about 1:00am with “catapult, a cutter and a sharp knife…[went] through the iron fence at the blind side of the security man who was fast asleep.” “The suspect picked a ladder in the house and climbed to the porch of the top floor and entered the bed room through the window whilst the deceased was sleeping. Suspect began to search the room but deceased woke up and held him.


He stabbed deceased on the right chest above the breast. Deceased held the knife and shouted for help but no one came. The suspect pulled the knife through the deceased hands creating a deep cut in his palm. “Deceased who was bleeding profusely fell by his bed helpless and the suspect stabbed him again on the right chest below the breast. Suspect realizing that the deceased was almost dead left him and took away his two iPhones and a tablet. Suspect managed to descend from the top to the back of the house and climbed one of the poly tanks in the house and jumped over the electric fence into the adjoining house and escaped.”

The late MP was buried last Saturday at his hometown in the Eastern Region over the weekend.
