Lawyers for 17-year-old boy, who was severely brutalised by some military officers in Tamale in the Northern Region, yesterday petitioned the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) on the matter.
The victim of the solder’s brutality, Christopher Bamah, was severely beaten up by three military officers for allegedly stealing a mobile phone belonging to one of the military officers.
It would be recalled that the three officers based at the airborne station in Tamale reportedly chained the boy to a mango tree and manhandled him.
Though, the victim denied stealing the mobile phone, the officers went ahead and tortured him.
The victim suffered fractured ribs, brain damage and an injured manhood.
One of the lawyers for the victim, Francis Sosu, speaking to Starr News yesterday said they will also petition the Chief of Defense Staff after petitioning CHRAJ.
