Mobile Money Vendor Commits Suicide In Kdua

KOFI NTI, a 42-year-old mobile money agent resident at Junction 1 near the Koforiuda Polytechnic in the Eastern Region, allegedly committed suicide last Monday morning.

The deceased purportedly hanged himself on a mango tree with a nylon rope following the stealing of his GH¢3,000 by an unknown person.

Mother of Kofi Nti, Christina Dankwa, confirmed to DAILY GUIDE that her son was troubled over the stolen money but did not show any sign of his intention to take his life. “I don’t know whether it is because of the lost money that made him hang himself. He didn’t act in any way to indicate that the money matter had affected him. I woke up Monday morning to find his dead body hanging on the mango tree,” Madam Dankwa bemoaned.

The New Juaben Municipal police later stormed the scene to convey the body to the Koforidua Central Hospital for autopsy.

Kofi Nti left behind three children.
