NDC Executives Warn Opponents Against Removal Of Flags/Posters

Executives of the Keta and Anlo constituencies of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have warned their political opponents to desist from removing NDC flags and posters.

A statement issued by the party and signed by the Keta constituency secretary said they have observed that some political opponents have embarked on the removal of NDC flags and posters.

“We would wish to state that NO political party has the right to remove an opponent's paraphernalia of any form or kind. This behaviour is against the law”, the statement said, adding that, “Every political party can attest to the fact that so much money is spent on printing these flags and posters”.

“The constituency executives condemn these actions in no uncertain terms and would wish to bring to the attention of the general public that those unscrupulous characters who have removed the NDC flags and hoisted the NPP flags instead will not be spared if they are caught. They will be made to face the full rigours of the law.

“Although the people of Keta and Anlo constituencies have amply demonstrated their unflinching support for the NDC, they have been respectful and tolerant of everybody's opinion. The unguided, repugnant and uncivilised behaviour of our political opponents threatens the peaceful partisan coexistence we have enjoyed so far.

“It is the desire of our people that we all preach peace and live in peace with all our neighbours”, it said.
