Support Compulsory Education Nduom Tells Mahama, Nana Addo

Presidential hopeful of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has challenged President John Dramani Mahama and the 2016 flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to declare their support for “compulsory education.”

This, according to Dr. Nduom, will give opportunities, for every Ghanaian child to realise their human potential and live a meaningful life.

Dr. Nduom made the remark in a statement signed by him and issued at the weekend.

“I support compulsory education as a means to give opportunity for every Ghanaian child to reach their human potential and live a good quality of life.”

In this regard, Dr. Nduom expressed “I will be happy if John Dramani Mahama and Nana Akufo-Addo and other presidential candidates will also support compulsory education.

“Talking “Expanding Access” or “Free SHS” won’t do. Our 1992 Constitution supports compulsory education and that is in good order. we must all support it and push for its full implementation so that every child can read, write, count and reason for themselves. It will be a great way to make our nation strong and its people prosperous,” the PPP presidential hopeful said.
