Movement For Justice Accuses NPP Parliamentary Candidate Of Assault

We the members of the Movement For Justice at Oblogo are calling on the police and the other law enforcement agencies to give our brothers who were brutally assaulted by a gang of armed land guards purported to have been hired from Fadama a suburb of Accra and brought to the constituency by the Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) madam Tina Mensah.

These armed land guards were spotted in a green ford pick-up, F150 with registration number GW 4340-16 on that very day

It's been awhile now since the limited registration ended but we the youth have not heard nor seen any pragmatic measures put in place by the law enforcement agencies to bring justice to our brothers who were only exercising their civic rights at the polling Station on that fateful day before they were attacked by these armed land guards..

We the youth are not happy with the way and manner in which the law enforcement agencies are handling this particular case, we believe the police have gathered enough information and evidence to aid them in discharging justice to our brothers.

We also know that the land guard who was arrested by the police allegedly confessed at the police station at SCC, that 15 of them were hired from Fadama, a suburb of Accra by Madam Tina Mensah, the New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for Weija/Gbawe to come and disrupt the registration exercise. He also mentioned that they were promised a huge amount of money when the operation was completed.

We are very surprised the police are still delaying in bringing these people to book despite having all these information at their disposal.

We do not want to believe the police are doing the bidding of Madam Tina Mensah, because nothing should have stood in their way in bringing these reckless and evil land guards to justice.

We the members of this group wants to remind the police and the other law enforcement agencies that justice delayed is justice denied, we are therefore appealing to them to be up and doing in the process of bringing justice to our brothers whose fundamental rights were abused by these rented land guards.

In addition, we wish to advice madam Tina Mensah to desist from these barbaric and reckless behavior in the future.

We are also calling on the chiefs and traditional leaders in our community to invite madam Tina Mensah and sanction her appropriately.

We the youth are aware of the diversionary tactics she is trying to deploy to take our eyes of her violent and reckless attitude, but we are wide awake and will not allow her to deceive us.

We also want to take the opportunity to thank Madam Obuobia Darko-Opoku the National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate who came to the aid of our brothers when they were admitted at the hospital, we appreciate her kindness and support.

In concluding, we wish to advice the youth to desist from any form of violence before, during and after the election because when you allow yourself to be used by any politician to cause violence like we witness in the just ended limited registration, you will be arrested and prosecuted, the law will always take it's course and no politician can save you.
