A 19-year-old man was killed by a collapsed concrete wall from the roof of the house in New Takoradi in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
The deceased, Wisdom Quashie, was sleeping with his siblings in the room when the concrete wall fell and hit him on the head around 0100 hours on Tuesday, June 7.
He was rushed to the Takoradi Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The corpse had since been deposited at the morgue, awaiting autopsy.
The elder brother of the deceased, Daniel Quashie, confirmed the tragic incident to the media in Takoradi, on Wednesday, and said the death of his brother had traumatised the family and thrown the town into state of mourning.
One of the siblings who sustained minor injuries had since been treated and discharged from the hospital.
