Alan Kyerematen Assures Artisans Of Special Loan Schemes

Former Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has assured artisans and craftsmen in the country that a New Patriotic Party (NPP) government will institute a special small business loan scheme to enable them to get the needed capital to enhance their operations.

According to him, master craftsmen would also be offered a special free package for the training of apprentices, while hostels would be constructed to accommodate the apprentices in the various areas of the country.

Mr Kyerematen was speaking at a rally organised at the Sunyani Magazine as part of the five-day tour of the Brong Ahafo Region by the Flag bearer of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The tour, which started on Friday, July 8, 2016, has so far taken the flag bearer and his entourage to the Tano North, Tano South, Sunyani East, Dormaa Central and the Dormaa West constituencies of the region.

No jobs

Addressing the artisans at the Sunyani Magazine and later at the Sunyani main station, Mr Kyerematen said it was not the fault of the youth to remain jobless even after some of them had managed to acquire the needed employable skills.

He said such people had to be assisted to enable them to properly face the initial challenges they would encounter in the establishment of their small businesses.

Mr Kyerematen said it was only through such pragmatic measures that would enable some of the youth to set up their own businesses and employ others to reduce the increasing unemployment in the country.

Give Akufo-Addo chance

He advised Ghanaians to give Nana Addo a chance to prove his capabilities since President Mahama and his NDC had shown that they had no antidote to the problems confronting the country.

“Do not believe in the propaganda messages being peddled by NDC, which has proven to be incapable of instituting measures to deal with the country’s economic challenges”, he said amid shouts of “arise and change, yeresesam” by the enthusiastic crowd who converged on the Sunyani main lorry station.

When Nana Akufo-Addo mounted the podium, he was received by a rousing applause by the milling crowd, who cheered him with slogans such as “Nana Nie, Osono Nie, Change is coming”.

He asked the electorate to believe in him since they had tasted both the NDC and the NPP”.
