Nana Addo Is Behaving Like A Kindergarten Kid . . . Koku Anyidoho

The New Patriotic Party [NPP] flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has gone past pre-school for children age 4 to 6 – but he has been described by the Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC] as a “Kindergarten kid”.

Koku Anyidoho was maddened by the NPP leader’s assertion that he fears President John Dramani Mahama will “steal” his ideologies for the country.

He rather noted that Nana Addo has “No policy” for this country – hence, Ghanaians should reject him in the upcoming presidential polls, scheduled December 7.

“It is very sad that a presidential candidate of a party has no policy and program. So he goes around and behaves like a kindergarten kid by reciting, ‘please teacher, he [Prez Mahama] is copying my work’. Who is going to copy his [Nana Addo] work?” he questioned in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed Ghana Montie.

The NPP leader has been emphatic that, he will be very circumspect on revealing his policies in public and his ideas about how to revitalize the “ailing” National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) – after expressing worry that President John Mahama will steal them.

Speaking at an NPP fundraising event in Hartford, Nana Akufo-Addo claimed the Mahama-led admiration has masterminded a strategy to copy NPP’s policies such as the free SHS concept which was the toast of the 2012 campaign.

He explained that - under the Ex-President Kufuor administration “We were responsible for the largest piece of social intervention in our history”, a reference to the establishment of the NHIS, the NPP flagbearer noted that “it has gone pear-shaped under the hands of Mahama.”

He was certain that “We will pay a lot of attention to revitalizing the NHIS. It is important that we do so, and find sustainable methods of making sure that the financing of the scheme is secure.”

But he unexpectedly stopped outlining his policy and said “I dare not say them in public, because if I do, tomorrow, Mahama will take them as his own. Every time I open my mouth to say something, the next day he parrots it. So I have to be careful.”

However, Koku Anyidoho has rubbished Nana Addo’s accusation and insisted “Nana Addo has no better policy for this country. His only policy is to build one factory, one district which is not feasible. What other policy has he given us?”

“Nana Addo’s free SHS was blanket, very blanket free SHS policy. He went to UK [BBC] and couldn’t tell how he was going to fund the policy. But President Mahama gave substantial details to buttress his policy,” he added.

Koku claimed that “Akufo-Addo has no better policy unlike President Kufour [Ex] who had brainstorming people around him working for him with alternative policies.”
