UNILEVER Relaunches Geisha Soap

Unilever Ghana Limited has relaunced the Geisha Soap in 5 variants in Accra.

The five variants of the new Geisha are Green Aloe Vera and Honey, Beige-Shea Butter and Honey, White-Coconut Milk and Honeypot, Pink Rose and Honey and Yellow-Lemon and Honey.

The new Geisha Soap is an improvement on the old one with an addition of honey and natural extracts that can make it last longer; it does not melt easily in water, and also gentle on the skin.

Personal Care Category Manager at Unilever Ghana, Esther Fobre, said the company Unilever took into consideration the feedback and views of its customers and did further research to come up with the new Geisha Soap.

"The new Geisha has been formulated with honey and extracts, which serve to give the soap the longer lasting quality that our consumers love," she said.

Esther Fobre explained that the new Geisha is suitable for the whole family and is also affordable, which translate into savings for families.

She said Unilever's long lasting promise in the new Geisha soap, builds on the affordability of its products by giving more to the Ghanaian mom for her limited resources,

Deputy Minister for Gender Children and Social Protection, Dela Sowah, who was the Special Guest at the launch, commended Unilever for the innovative approaches to meeting the basic needs of Ghanaians.

"I have no doubt that the new Geisha will meet the needs of the Ghanaian consumer and also stimulate more of such innovations from Unilever in the coming years," she noted.

Honourable Dela Sowah called on Unilever Ghana to source their ingredients from the local market to create employment for Ghanaians.
"It's my hope that this these ingredients can be sourced locally to create employment for particularly women and also ensure that we do not expand scarce foreign exchange resources on imports of raw materials," she said.

Some consumers who shared testimonies and also answered questions about Geisha where rewarded with hampers full of Unilever products and a sketched portrait of them and their mums.
