The reason why Koku Anyidoho, the Communications Director at the seat of the Presidency hates President John Kufuor is very simple. Mr. Anyidoho�s extreme hatred for President Kufuor has more to do with a �proxy war� that he is fighting for his father, Brigadier General Anyidoho (rtd). Brigadier General Anyidoho (rtd) was promoted through Jerry Rawlings� whole sale promotions on the 6th January 2000 to become a Major General than mere political differences between the NDC and the NPP. Major General Anyidoho who entered the Ghana Armed Forces as a recruit and later commissioned into the regular service had his hopes dashed when his dream of setting a record in the GAF by becoming the first other Rank commissioned officer to appointed Army Commander. Major General Anyidoho had been promised that he would be made the Army Commander if the then NDC Presidential Candidate, John Atta Mills had won the 2000 Presidential Elections. Based on the promise of being elevated from the appointment of General Officer Commanding (GOC) Northern Command of the Ghana Army to Army Commander, he set out to rain mayhem in Kumasi in particular and Ashanti Region in general in the 2000 General Elections. With the support, in terms of personnel and equipment, of the 64 Infantry Regiment, then commanded by Lt. Col Gbevlo- Lartey, General Anyidoho conducted all sorts of operations, clandestine and overt, to reduce NPP votes in Ashanti Region, Brong Ahafo and the three regions up north to ensure victory for the NDC. General Anyidoho and General Smith, who was also Army Commander at the time, teamed up to terrorize, intimidate and brutalized NPP supporters especially in the Ashanti region to minimize NPP votes hoping thereby to ensure NDC victory. During the 2000 elections, Lt. Col Attachie who is now a member of the �vehicle thievery syndicate� at the castle was a Major and a Staff Officer at the Directorate of Army Intelligence and Plans at the Army Headquarters and was the liaison officer between Generals Smith and Anyidoho and then Candidate Mills. Lt. Col Attachie, who is a trained journalist and a bed fellow and friend of Koku Anyidoho, together with Col Brakatu then Director of Army Intelligence and Plans ( and now a deserter but active participant in the new NDC and a former ADC to General Quainoo) planned, executed and monitored various operations during 2000 and 2008 general elections. A deep throat of information has it that Lt Col Attachie regularly called some social commentators who bash this government pleading with them to tone down their level of criticisms. For the dirty jobs his father did for the NDC Administration in the 1990s, Koku Anyidoho had hoped that when President Kufuor took over power in January 2001his father, General Anyidoho would be made the Army Commander. Unfortunately, owing to the role he played in the 2000elections and openly supporting and campaigning for Associate Professor, John Mills, General Anyidoho was retired honorably from the Ghana Armed Forces in March 2001. General Anyidoho was retired alongside Generals Akafia, Smith, Mahama, Admiral Owusu Ansah and Air Marshal Bruce in March 2001. Generals Akafia and Mahama were made Ambassadors by President Kufuor and since then Generals Smith and Anyidoho have never forgiven President Kufuor for not making them Army Commander and Chief of Defence Staff respectively. �They are very bitter about the action of President Kufuor and have sworn to pay him back whenever the opportunity presents itself�, the source said. �It is therefore not surprising to hear the son General Anyidoho saying he hates Kufuor and doesn�t want to see face in the media, the proxy war for his dad continues�. It is also not surprising at all that Lt. Cols Gbevlo Lartey and Attachie have been involved in the humiliation of President Kufuor as far as the seizure of his office and vehicles is concerned. Lt. Col Gbevlo Lartey has malicious hatred for President Kufuor because he ungratefully thinks that his military career was �cut short� by President Kufuor. Instead being grateful to President Kufuor who, in spite of overwhelming evidence against Lt Col Gbevlo Lartey, magnanimously granted his honorable retirement with full benefits and other incentives to enable him settle comfortably in retirement, he has vowed to make life uncomfortable for President Kufuor. Furthermore, Lt Col Attachie has demonstrated his hatred for President Kufuor in the manner in which he seized the former President�s official vehicles. Lt Col Attachie is also fighting a �proxy war� for General Smith and his pal, Koku Anyidoho. It has to be put on record that the malicious and diabolical hatred of Mr. Koku Anyidoho for President Kufuor emanates from syndicate and conspiracy involving General Anyidoho, Smith, Lt. Col Gbevlo Lartey and Lt. Col Attachie who think their military careers were adversely affected by the Presidency of Mr. Kufuor. Mr. Mr. Koku Anyidoho as the Director of Communications of President Mills and the �Hatred for Kufuor Syndicate� had to come out to confess his hatred for President Kufuor.
