Italian giants Juventus are seriously considering offering a deal to Ghana youth midfielder Agyemang Badu. Badu, who has been touted at the new Michael Essien, has been impressive for the Ghanaians at the U20 World Cup in Egypt. He is among the few players who have impressed Fifa's technical team analysing matches at the tournament. This has prompted interest from several clubs in Europe asking to seal a deal for him. But the Italian newspapers Gazetta dello Sport and Corrier are reporting on Tuesday that Juventus scouts at the tournament are confident of closing a deal for the midfielder. The Kotoko player has a short stint with Spanish side Recreativo Huelva but they reneged on his transfer fee which prompted him to walk away. Badu's performance at the tournament has also alerted the national team handlers as he could be considered for a place in the Black Stars.
