I Don't See Anything Wrong With Prof. Martey's Utterances - Rev. Owusu-Bempah

Founder and leader of Glorious Word Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah has stated that he sees nothing wrong with Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey’s bribery allegations against some politicians.

“What Right Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey said at his press conference was right, because most newly established churches are making too much noise and causing controversies in town . . . there is no need for one to be worried about what he said if it has nothing to do with him/her, as for me I don’t see anything wrong with any of his comments made,” he said.

According to him he does not personally know Right Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey and have also not set eyes on him before but it is a very big mistake on the part of some Ghanaians to say that a man of God should have nothing to do with politics.

“ . .  to me it is a big NO, because we [men of God] can’t sit idle for things to go bad in the country we belong to,” he added.

In an interview with OKAY FM’s morning show host Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah pointed out that “It is never wrong for a man of God to express his/her views on political issues, since we play major roles such as interceding on behalf of the nation and praying against unwary occurrences towards the growth of the nation, therefore nothing should prevent us from speaking when all is not well.”

“Frankly speaking a particular political party in this country must be very careful with their utterances and way of campaigning . . . I have had similar experiences just as Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey has expressed,” he indicated.
