Nana Addo's "1 Village, 1 Dam" Campaign Promise "Possible" But... - PPP Policy Advisor

Policy Advisor for the Progressive People's Party (PPP) Kofi Asamoah Siaw has lauded Nana Addo's "1 Village, 1 Dam" campaign promise during his tour to the Upper East Region.

According to him, Nana Addo's promise is achievable but he is using a wrong approach.

Kofi Siaw, speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, was of the view that it is possible because other nations have ably achieved Nana Addo's goal to set up a dam in every village.

He commended Nana Addo but was quick to add that Nana Addo's method is not the best; "maybe it’s too ambitious".

To him, the best approach is to focus on the local agricultural exports as against foreign imports that the nation has been making.

"But to say that you’ll construct a dam for irrigation purposes, how can anybody say that it can’t be possible? But going forward, what PPP is saying is that Nana Addo’s approach is a wrong approach.

Also touching on the issue of the a dam per village promise, the PNC General Secretary Atik Mohammed believed it is feasible to construct the dams but quickly added that it can't be possible for every village to have a dam.
