FaReed To Change The Rap Game In Ghana

Rap sensation Mohammed Fareed known in Showbiz as FaReed aka The HipHopAlhaji is in to change the face of Rap game in Ghana.

FaReed started music since birth. As a he grew up his father used to sing to a large audience during special occasions. He started getting familiar with musical instruments, especially the drum (kalangu) and also vocals.

He used to sing along to songs and slowly started writing his own lyrics and he listened to Obrafuor's music a lot.  
"I remember my very first time performing was Obrafour's song " Yaanom" on stage in Primary 4 during Entertainment shows. I also played drums in primary school (drum boy)".

FaReed's first recordings was in SHS1 at Killmatic's studio. He recorded a mixtape album of 14 songs and sold them on campus and made some little money.

He met Blurr (rapper) in Kumasi, who introduced him to Peewezel and SenyoCue (Beat makers). He started recording and releasing songs occasionally on social media.

"I still recorded but stopped releasing songs because I noticed I wasn't pushing them enough. Now, with the help of my team and manager (Kwesi Amoako) we dey come spoil everywhere!", he stated.  

According to FaReed he takes a lot of inspiration from Eminem, Bob Marley and Sean Paul.

Some of the previous songs he has released includes "I wanna Rap" recorded with Jayso, "Bardman" produced by SenyoCue which was used as a montage on 4syte TV and he is currently promoting "HiphopAlhaji".  His mixtape album was premiered on Focus fm in Kumasi.
