Eastern NPP roots for Dompreh

Barely two months into the election of the New Patriotic Partys (NPP) regional officers, the contest in the Eastern Region keeps on becoming keen as more and more experienced and intelligent members join the trial. One of the positions that have attracted much attention and interest is that of youth organizer, which is being contested by four keen members including the incumbent youth organizer, Mr. Usiff Mohammed, Mr. Smaila Ibrahim a former Akim Oda constituency secretary, one Mr. Yeboah from Fanteakwa and a former NUGS President, Mr. Frank Annoh Dompreh. Meanwhile, painstaking investigations conducted by GO across the length and breadth of the region indicate that, the youth, most of whom are Tescon members, are calling for somebody who is more experienced, affable, vocal, and intelligent and also possess the ability to mobilise and influence the youth in order to ensure victory for NPP come the 2012 general elections. Most of the Tescon members whose names have been withheld in the story told GO that the youth is a pivotal point on which the party revolves for campaign and elections hence we will need a leader who is well vested in politics and organising. One name which has gained much support and mention from the Tescon members and the NPP youth wing in the Eastern Region is the former National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) and the 1999 to 2002 spokesperson for Tescon, Mr. Frank Annoh Dompreh. According to the youth wing of the party, the time has come for the party to have more aggressive leaders who will meet their political opponents word for word and boot for boot, now that they are in opposition.
