What Was Their Motive...What Did They Want To Achieve? - Pratt Asks Minority

Giving his take in a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning showKokrokoo', Kwesi Pratt suggested that it was wrong for the minority to file the same motion which was being investigated by the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to Parliament.

“Is it that we don’t believe CHRAJ can do the work? So far I have not heard anyone saying they (CHRAJ) can’t do the work and so if that is the case I don’t know why the issue will be sent to another body…why should one issue be investigated by several constitutional bodies? You cannot have the same case before two judges…

I won’t say they intentionally wanted to cause financial loss to the state or to malign the president; I have no right to do that…I ask myself: what are we going to gain from taking the same issue to Parliament when CHRAJ is probing it; what are we going to gain from this double approach?” he queried.
