Two members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have died from electrocution at Abesim, a suburb of Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region Wednesday.
The deceased, Maxwell Ameyaw 24 years and Stanley Kumi 31 years were mounting a billboard of the NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Sunyani East parliamentary candidate on an electricity poll when the unfortunate incident occurred.
Sunyani East Communication Director of NPP, Maxwell Mahama confirmed this to Adom News.
He said two others are seriously injured and have been admitted at the Sunyani Regional Hospital for treatment.
The bodies of the deceased have also been deposited at the morgue of the same hospital pending autopsy.
