Kofi Adams Reveals The Only Time He Would Vote For The NPP

National Organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to vote for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) if the Vice Presidential Candidate for NPP, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is able to produce evidence for his bloated voter register claim.

He claims the failure of Dr Bawumia to provide evidence to support his assertion amounts to deceit of a public officer who is the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei.

“Ever since Bawumia came out with those allegations that the voter registration is bloated, nothing has been done to prove that and he together with his party members are going round wasting our time.

"In fact, Bawumia should bring the rest of the evidence for the public to know and when he does that, I will go ahead and vote for the NPP” he stated.

Dr Bawumia some months ago announced that a team commissioned by the NPP to go into Ghana’s voters' register, had identified 76,286 persons with the same data in both the Ghana and Togo voters' register.

He said the affected persons were mostly found in the Volta Region, with Ketu South cited as one of the constituencies where the anomalies took place. The figure represented less than 10 percent of the party’s inquiry into the country’s voters' register,he said.

The evidence gathered, Dr. Bawumia added, gave credence to the party’s call for the EC to compile a new voters' register prior to the 2016 elections.

But Kofi Adams who is also the campaign coordinator for the 2016 NDC maintained that the NPP is not ready for power and the opposition party are only bent on throwing dust in the eyes of the public.

He also wondered why the NPP is alleging that the NDC is conniving with EC to rig the  2016 elections.
