Stop The Childs Play And Be Serious - Omane Boamah To NPP

Minister of Communications, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has fired a salvo at the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for claiming President Mahama has stolen their manifesto ideas. According to him, an opposition party seeking to come to power must ‘stop the child’s play’ and let sense prevail in Ghana’s body politics.

The NPP at a press conference in Accra Wednesday claimed, majority of ideas in the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2016 manifesto were plagiarised from them. The opposition party claimed the highlights of the 100-page manifesto presented by President Mahama Tuesday, are the exact ones proposed by their flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo.

But Dr. Omane Boamah on Asempa FM Wednesday chastised the NPP for insulting their intelligence. “NPP should stop insulting the intelligence of the NDC and let some sense prevail in our politics” he fumed. The Communication Minister stated emphatically that given the pedigree of intellectual in the ruling party, they don’t need to plagiarize any idea from the NPP to be effective in government.

This notwithstanding, Dr. Omane Boamah said they remain focused and working assiduously to deliver a Better Ghana. “They should stay in Accra and do press conferences but we are in the hinterlands working to change lives and transforming Ghana” he added.
