Kennedy Agyapong On Why He Hates The EC Boss Charlotte Osei

The firebrand Member of Parliament for Assin Central has finally explained his seeming obsession with the Chairperson of Ghana's Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei.

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong says he has major issues with Mrs Osei because she is scheming with the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to rig the December 7 polls. According to Kennedy Agyapong, he has the dossier of plans drawn up by the NDC following meetings between the ruling party and the EC boss both in Ghana and abroad of how they intend to rig the election to ensure President John Mahama is retained in power.

This, the  outspoken MP on Asempa FM Tuesday said is the reason President Mahama is predicting a one touch victory for the NDC.

Ken Agyapong, among other things, claimed that Madam Osei boss has bought a house in the United States of America where she [Charlotte] intends to stay with her children should there be any chaos after the general elections.

“I hate Charlotte Osei because she is not truthful but I assure them (NDC) that the NPP will win the election and will match them boot-for-boot” he fumed. The Assin Central MP said the NPP is also working assiduously to protect the vote of the masses for their choice to be crowned president.

“This woman and John Mahama don’t want fair elections but we will foil all their plans and win the elections free and fair” he stated. Ken Agyapong maintained that all the Mahama-led administration has offered Ghanaians is "a bunch of lies and a repetition of failed promises" thus must be voted out of office.

In a quick rebuttal, a communications team member of the NDC, Eric Ametor Quarymne described as false the allegations made by the NPP legislator.

He insisted that under no circumstance would any political party be able to rig the elections given the measures and mechanisms being put in place by the EC. The NDC man opined that, the "gargantuan defeat" staring the NPP in the face is what is pushing them to make such "frivolous allegations."

Ametor Quarymne however advised the opposition party to concentrate on training their polling agents to be vigilant on Election Day and stop the propaganda against government.
