The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has warned supporters of the NDC to beware of people going around the country claiming to be supported by President John Dramani Mahama especially in Nadowli-Kaleo constituency.

He is in that constituency with the Chief of Staff Mr Julius Debrah to campaign in support of the NDC's candidate in the constituency who is also the leader of the majority in parliament, Hon Alban Sumana Kinsford Bagbin.

Speaking to the Chiefs and opinion leaders of Nadowli Traditional area Mr Asiedu Nketiah noted that there is no way the President or any other loyal supporter of the NDC would engage in that treachery.

Recounting how the opposition New Patriotic Party operated to destroy the career of the late President Mills, the General Secretary of the NDC stated that the NPP revealed how the opposition spent a lot of money to make sure Professor Mills lost support in the Central Region.

It took the firmness and loyalty of NDC members to stick to Prof Mills in 2008 which resulted in the NDC regaining majority in the Central Region and the country. The same tactics is being employed by the NPP in Nadowli to weaken the NDC in parliament.
